Tracknite does not track you and does not show ads. There is no Tracknite account to create, no analytics and no advertising SDKs. Signing in to your Epic Games account is entirely optional and is used only to show your own tournament results. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with data.
You never create a Tracknite account and you never give us a password. To see public stats, the item shop, the season map and the tournaments calendar, you simply type a username — no sign-in of any kind is required.
If you want to see your own tournament history and results ("My Events"), you can optionally connect your Epic Games account. This is never required to use the app. When you connect:
Tracknite shows Fortnite statistics for public player profiles only. If a profile is set to private, its stats stay private. When you look up a player, the only thing sent to the public Fortnite data services is the nickname you searched for, in order to fetch that player's public stats, cosmetics, shop and event data.
So that your history and rank chart keep filling in even when you are not using the app, iOS may wake Tracknite briefly in the background to fetch your public stats and save a snapshot. These background snapshots are exactly the same as the ones taken while the app is open: they stay on your device (and in your own iCloud, if sync is on), and nothing is sent to us. You can stop this at any time in the iOS Settings app under Tracknite → Background App Refresh.
To keep your match history and replay analysis results after you delete or reinstall the app, Tracknite can sync them to your own private iCloud database (via Apple's CloudKit) — the same private storage used by apps like Notes or Reminders. The same applies to everything else that is yours: your app settings, player nickname, avatar, favorite skins, tournament reminders and your saved map plans (via Apple's iCloud key-value storage), and — if you connected your Epic account — the revocable access handle described above, which is kept in your iCloud Keychain, Apple's end-to-end encrypted password storage. That way your setup survives reinstalling the app and carries over to your other devices. We do not have access to any of it; it stays inside your Apple ID and is never sent to our servers. You can turn this off anytime in Settings → Data → "iCloud sync"; the change takes effect after restarting the app. Turning it off stops future syncing but does not delete data already synced to iCloud — you can remove that separately from your device's iCloud storage settings.
To show live stats and shop items, the app requests publicly available data from third-party Fortnite APIs. These requests contain only the searched nickname and standard technical information (such as your IP address, which any internet request necessarily includes). We do not attach any identifier to these requests and we do not build a profile of you.
Tracknite Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple — the app never sees or stores your payment details. Purchase and subscription status is provided to the app by Apple's StoreKit. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
Tracknite does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
